The Elizabeth House Family Life Center, Inc. is actively engaged in providing education service programs that help reduce the dropout rate and help all students graduate high school and pursue successful careers.
The 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, “Learning Through Technology” is offered to students of low- to moderate- income families who are interested in heightening their academic and technical skills. Students from Howard High School of Technology, Delcastle Technical High School, Glasgow, John Dickerson, Christiana, Newark, and William Penn High Schools are invited to register at our Woodmill Corporate Center location along Kirkwood Highway.
At our Woodmill Corporate Center campus, we offer new and exciting ways to build skills in math, reading, and integrated media, while developing stronger 21st Century life skills that are necessary to ensure success both academically and socially.
Participants are offered the opportunity to participate in both academic support enrichment activities, including:
- Homework Help for Math and English Language Arts
- Learn how to use Digital and Integrated Media Technology Tools
- Engage in Community Service Learning Project that Demonstrate Collaboration and Decision Making Skills
- e-Magazine: Contribute writing, photography, and graphics to an online magazine
- Graphic Design: Learn how to digitally manipulate images using Adobe Photoshop
- Web Design: Learn how to create a Web page using XHTML/CSS in Adobe Dreamweaver
- Videography: Contribute to the production and editing of a YouTube talk show
